Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

ADONA is an ionisable substance which will dissociate in water, forming ammonium (cation) and DONA (anion). Koc of the DONA anion was assessed by HPLC (OECD Guideline 121), using a single, isocratic mobile phase buffered at pH 7.1. DONA has a pKa of 1.8 (in 1:1 water:acetonitrile) and will remain in anionic form at all environmentally relevant pH values 1 . Therefore, the HPLC results are generally applicable and provide information on DONA anion sorption. DONA anion eluted before the least-retained reference compound (acetanilide, log Koc 1.25) and was assigned an upper limit log Koc ≤1.3. ADONA has a low potential for adsorption and further testing is not necessary.
