Pre-conditioned to the experimental conditions under aerobic conditions for 6 days in the mineral medium at the test temperature: 250 mL of surface water were added with 0.25 mL of the stock solution, the volume was then made to 500 mL. Resulting solution was maintained under strong aeration and agitation at 20°C (+/-2°C) for 5 days. The preconditioned inoculum was further used at a rate of 2 mL/L of medium - Duration of test (contact time):

The mineral medium was strongly aerated for at least 20min, and then allowed to stand for approximately 20h at the test temperature before use.

At the end of the test, the biodegradation reached 30% : The oxygen uptake corresponded to the biodegradation of the sole aniline, without inhibition.

The beginning of the 10 days windows was reached on day 23 for the Maderal, consequently, the incubation was prolonged up to day 33.
Primary degradation: Analytical determinations proved that recovery of Maderal was 17.7% after 23 days, and 4.2% after 33 days.
