The reaction mass of (1R,2R)-, (1R,2S)- (1S, 2R) and (1S,2S)-Isomers of 2,3-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-1H-inden-1-amine (EC no. 937-760-6) is considered as harmful to aquatic environment, based on the results of an acute toxicity test (according to EU-Method C.2) with the analogous substance (1R,2S)-2,3-Dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-1H-inden-1-amine hydrochloride (CAS 730980 -53 -7) using Daphnia magna as test organism; an EC50 (48h) of 19.63 mg/l was determined.

The read-across is based on similar structural properties between the constituents of the reaction mass (EC no. 937-760-6) and the source substance (1R,2S)-2,3-Dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-1H-inden-1-amine hydrochloride (CAS 730980 -53 -7).
