Formal analysis:
Due to the low solubility of the test substance, slow stirring (<100 rpm) was used for solution preparation, in accordance with ECHA guidelines. Test guidelines specify that 'if the concentration results of at least the last two vessels agree with the required reproducibility, the test is satisfactory'and that 'the whole test should be repeated, using longer equilibration times, if the results from vessels 1, 2 and 3 show a tendency to increase values'. Repeatability is specified as 15%. However, given the low solubility of the test item, the limitations of the detection method, the fact that there is not an increasing trend between vessels and the magnitude of the results a difference of 15% is virtually negligible. Therefore the mean of the three vessels has been reported despite the fact that vessel 3 does not meet the required repeatability specified in the test guidelines.
