The surface tension and surface tension in liquid solutions was determined. The static surface tension of a liquid is determined according to the ring method using a K10ST difital tensiometer of Krüss. The maximum force required to detach the ring from the liquid surface is measured by a sensitive torsion balance. The surface tension of aqueous systems containing sparsely soluble compounds is readily measured by OECD Guideline 115. In this case, aqueous solutions of a resin are prepared at 90% of its solubility limit when known. Otherwise, a saturated solution is prepared in deionized water.
