Description of key information

Glass transition temperature:

83 - 90°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The determination was carried out according to EEC Directive 92/69, A.1.

The melting range of the test substance was determined by differential scanning calorimetry to be 83 - 90°C. This transition is actually a softening point (glass transition) for the amorphous glass, since the material is non-crystalline and does not have a true first-order melting point. This temperature range, however, describes the transition from solid to liquid state.
