Results and discussion

Test results (Oxidising solids)
Key result
Sample tested:
test mixture as specified
Remarks:
2:1 sample to cellulose ratio
Parameter:
preliminary test
Remarks on result:
mixture does not ignite and burn

Any other information on results incl. tables

The mixture was put in contact with the gas burner and no vigorous reaction occurred.

A superficial combustion lasted 15 seconds and then stopped.

As the preliminary test did not indicate that the test substance has oxidising properties, the full train test was performed. However, no ignition occurred with any of the prepared mixtures.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Executive summary:

The SODIUM CHONDROITIN SULFATE has not to be considered as an oxidising substance as no combustion reaction occurred neither in the preliminary test nor in the train test.
