Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A study on the readily biodegradability of the Reaction mass of N-butylphosphorothioic triamide and N-propylphosphorothioic triamide has been conducted according to OECD guideline 301 A (BASF SE 2008). Results show that the substance is poorly biodegradable (DOC removal 0 - 10% after 28 d) under the screening-test conditions. Based on the structural similarities between NBPT and NPPT (NPPT is one CH2 -group shorter), it is very likely the NPPT itself is poorly biodegradable as well.
