Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The key value for the assessment is based on the findings in an OECD guideline 114 study and the the screening for explosive properties in line with the Guidance on IR and CSA, R.7a, December 2016). The substance does not contain any chemical groups associated with explosive properties, and the exothermic decomposition energy is less than 500 J/g as well as the onset temperature is well below 500 °C. However, the calculated oxygen balance is -162.03, but as the substance contains no chemical groups associated with explosive properties, this screening result is considered uncritical and the substance is assumed to be non explosive.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available information on the thermal stability of the substance as well as the findings in the screening for explosive properties, the substance is assumed to be non explosive, and therefore no classification is applicable.
