Results

Self-ignition in the Grewer Oven

In the investigation of self-heating in the Grewer Oven for the pure test item a first endothermic effect was detected in the temperature range of 100 - 160 °C. A second endothermic effect was detected in the temperature range of 250 - 280 °C and a third in the temperature range of 320 - 370 °C. An exothermic effect was detected starting at 370 °C, which led to a maximum temperature of 420 °C. After the measurement a brown residue remained in the basket.

Final Results / Classification

The pure test item CUREZOL 2MAOK-PW indicated a self-heating at atmospheric pressure starting at a temperature of approx. 370 °C, which led to a maximum temperature of 420 °C.

UN Transport Regulation: The test item is not to be classified as self-heating substance in class 4, division 4.2 according to the UN Transport Regulation.

GHS / CLP Regulation EC 1272/2008 Annex 1: 2.11: The test item has not to be classified as self-heating substance according to GHS/CLP Regulation EC 1272/2008 Annex 1: 2.11.
