Extrapolation of the curve to 20°C or 25°C resulted in values outside the validated range of the method (4.3E-14 Pa and 1.6E-13 Pa, resp.).

Since the weight loss of the test item at 200°C, 210°C and 220°C was lower than the weight loss of reference substance benzo(ghi)perylene at the same temperatures, it was assumed that the vapour pressure of the substance at 20°C (25°C) is lower than the vapour pressure of benzo(ghi)perylene at 20°C (25°C).

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of the substance at 20°C and 25°C was determined to be <1.3E-8 Pa and <7.2E-8 Pa, resp.
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the substance was determined using the isothermal thermogravimetric effusion method in a GLP study according to EC A.4, OECD 104 and OPPTS 830.7950. A vapour pressure curve was constructed from 5 reference substances. Extrapolation of the curve to 20°C or 25°C resulted in values below the validated range of the method. As the vapour pressure of the substance at the test temperatures was determined to be lower than that of reference substance benzo(ghi)perylene at the same temperatures, it was assumed that the vapour pressure of the substance at 20°C (25°C) is lower than the vapour pressure of benzo(ghi)perylene at 20°C (25°C). The vapour pressure of the substance at 20°C and 25°C was concluded to be <1.3E-8 Pa and <7.2E-8 Pa, resp.
