Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media - Dry Chemical, CO2 or water spray.

Unsuitable extingushing media - No information available.

Advice for firefighters - Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.  Use personal protective equipment as required.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures - Use personal protective equipment as required.  Remove all sources of ignition.  Evacuate personnel to safe areas.  Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.  Pay attention to flashback.  Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

Environmental precautions - Do not allow into sewer, on the ground or into any body of water.  Collect large liquid spills.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Methods for containment - Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.  Contain and collect spillage with non-combustible absorbent material (eg. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) and place in container for disposal according to local/national regulations.

Methods for cleaning up - Cover liquid spills with sand, earth or other non-combustible absorbent material.  Pick up and transfer to property labelled containers.  Dam up.  Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

Advice on safe handling - Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing.  Use personal protective equipment as required.  Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.  Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.  Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.  Use with local exhaust ventilation.  All equipment used when handling the product must be grounded.  Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces - No smoking.  Take necessary action to avoid static electricity discharge (which might cause ignition of organic vapours).

General hygiene considerations - When using do not eat, drink or smoke.  Regular cleaning of equipment, work area and clothing is recommended.
