Description of key information

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials. The oxygen atoms that are present in the molecular structure of the test substance are chemically bonded to carbon or hydrogen. The test substance contains a sulphonamide group and the group is relatively small compared to the molecular structure of the test substance. Based on this, the test substance is considered to pose no function as an oxidizing agent and this therefore fulfils the criteria for not conducting this test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

no

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the structure of the molecule and taking into account the provisions laid down in (EC) No 1227/2008 (CLP), the test item does not have to be classified with respect to oxidising properties.
