Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
study well documented, meets generally accepted scientific principles, acceptable for assessment
Justification for type of information:
Quality control assessment for manufacture in water, resultig in stable clear solution at ca 55% w/w in water (550 g/l)
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Direct observation in water - similar to screening stage of shake-flask method
GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
flask method
Key result
Water solubility:
> 550 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
ca. 1
Details on results:
Attempts to removed water lead to increased viscosity and cloudy mixturne. The loss ov clarity may be due to formation of degradation products such as hydroxides and oxides of titanium.
Conclusions:
The substance is hightly soluble. It is supplied commercially as a solution in water at 550 g/L and is never isolated from water.
Executive summary:

The substance is hightly soluble. It is supplied commercially as a solution in water at 550 g/L and is never isolated from water.

Description of key information
