TEST SYSTEM
Closed system oxygen consumption measuring apparatus, Ohkura Electric Co, Model OM-2001

Reference substance:
aniline
Parameter:
% degradation (DOC removal)
Value:
101
Sampling time:
28 d
Parameter:
% degradation (O2 consumption)
Value:
90
Sampling time:
28 d
Parameter:
% degradation (test mat. analysis)
Value:
> 99
Sampling time:
28 d
Details on results:
Due to sampling times, it was difficult to assess if 10-day window was met, but by Day 14, in excess of 60% degradation had been observed.
Results with reference substance:
The degradability of aniline, based on BOD, was 73% after 7 days. The activity of the sludge was thus shown to be satisfactory.
