Description of key information

Non hazardous to fish and low hazard to Daphnia

However, significant growth inhibition was observed with algae, despite the citrate and titanium ions considered non-hazardous. This is thought to be due to disruption of the algal test media with precipitation of insoluble titanium salts of carbonate, phosphate, sulphate etc.

Classification as Aquatic Acute 1 and Aquatic Chronic 2 has been assigned to reflect that fact that there is inhibition of growth under laboratory conditions.
