Additional information

There are read across studies for acute toxicity of three trophic levels (fish, daphnia, algae) with fish and daphnia study showing no effect up to the highest test concentration which was 100 mg/L. Algae study showed effects with an ErC50 = 43 mg/L and PNEC aquatic freshwater, PNEC marine water and PNEC intermittent release were derived based on the algae study.

No hazard was identified for PNEC STP, PNEC air and PNEC secondary poisoning and, therefore, no PNEC was derived.

PNEC sediment freshwater/marine water and soil were derived by equilibrium partitioning method (using molecular weight, vapour pressure and water solubility of the substance).

Conclusion on classification

Bayscript Blaukomponente has a calculated log Kow value of 1.82 -3.72 and a calculated BCF of 3.16 L/kg. The substance is highly water soluble (> 841.7 g/L) and is readily biodegradable (100 %, 28 days, read across to Bayscript Blaukomponente MDA). There are read-across studies available for acute toxicity of three trophic levels (fish, daphnia, algae) with fish and daphnia study showing no effect up to the highest test concentration which was 100 mg/L.

Bases on available information Bayscript Blaukomponente TEA is not classified for environmental hazards according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).
