Description of key information

As the anion will have a low potential for adsorption, a Koc value of 10 can be used for the CSA according to a RIVM report (https://www.rivm.nl/bibliotheek/rapporten/601516013.pdf).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
10

Additional information

Inorganic salts with high aqueous solubility will exist in a dissociated form in an aqueous solution. The cation K+ will absorb to soil, but is generally abundantly present in the environment. The anion [(Fe(CN)6)3-] however will have a low potential for adsorption. In addition, an adsorption screening study (OECD121) could not be conducted as this test method is scientifically not justified for inorganic substances. Also QSARs are not suitable for such (ionic) substances.
