Executive summary:

A study was performed to determine some physicochemical properties of the test item, DNAN. The methods followed are amongst those described in Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 and the OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals. The physicochemical properties which have been determined in this study are detailed below, together with the result obtained for each test.

EC                     OECD                     Test                     Result

method no.       method no.

A.1                     102              Melting temperature       88 to 96°C

Description of key information

DNAN was found to melt over the range 88 to 96°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Melting point determination was conducted as a package of physicochemical testing on DNAN (Envigo CRS Limited, NC15WS, 2018). The study was performed according to EC Method A.1 and OECD Method 102 and in compliance with GLP. The melting temperature was determined using the metal block method.

DNAN was found to melt over the range 88 to 96°C.
