Conclusion on classification

Acute toxicity:

Daphnia is the most sensitive species with a EC50 value of 1.59 mg/L. According to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP, GHS) the test substance has not to be classified regarding short-term (acute) toxicity to the environment as the lowest LC50 value is above 1 mg/L.

Chronic toxicity:

Daphnia is the most sensitive species with an EC50 value of 1.59 mg/L. For derivation of classification and labelling also the algae 72-h EC10 value based on growth rate was determined as 1.99 mg/L has to be taken into account. In a biodegradation closed bottle study, according to EU method C.4–E, no biodegradation was observed.

As a result the substance has to be classified as long-term (chronic) aquatic toxic cat 2, H411 according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP/GHS), as amended for the tenth time in Regulation (EU) No 2017/776.
