Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials

Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

In the molecule/structure of the substance there are no chemical groups present which are associated with oxidising properties. In addition, based on the nature of the substance (inorganic mixed metal oxide) it was concluded that the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials.

Therefore the substance is concluded to be non-oxidising, and thus the oxidising properties study was not performed.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on evaluation of structural features the substance was concluded to be non-oxidising.

Classification according to Regulation No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) is therefore deemed not necessary.
