Description of key information

Based on its physico-chemical properties such as low water solubility (< 0.1 mg/L), high log Koc (>5) and low volatility, sediment and soil are expected to be the main targets for environmental distribution of Dipentaerythritol hexaesters of 3,5,5 -trimethylhexanoic and n-heptanoic acids (EC 945 -883 -1).The substance is poorly biodegradable in water and it is concluded that the substance is likely to persist in the environment.
