Endpoint:
hydrolysis
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is readily biodegradable

Description of key information

Abiotic degradation via hydrolysis is not relevant because the substance is readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No experimental studies are available, in which hydrolysis of Reaction mass of N-(1-oxooctadecyl)sarcosine and N-hexadecanoyl-N-methylglycine (EC 947-850-7) was assessed. However, hydrolysis as a function of pH does not need to be tested because the substance is readily biodegradable, according to REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VIII, section 9.2.2.1, column 2.
