Description of key information

In a key and guideline study (OECD 203), a 96-h LC50 of > 100 mg/L (nominal, analytically verified) was determined for freshwater zebrafish (D. rerio). Mortality or sublethal effects were not observed at the limit concentration of 100 mg/L (Eilebrecht, 2018). The low toxic potential was confirmed for O. mykiss in a supporting study (96h-LC50 = 112.9 mg/L, nominal). Hence, an acute hazard for freshwater fish could not be identified for tripotassium hexacyanocobaltate.
