- Executive summary:
Mechanical sensitivity (shock)
Six negative assays were recorded: No mechanical sensitivity was noted with the test item.
Thermal sensitivity (flame test)
Six negative assays were recorded using nozzle plates with a hole of 6-mm diameter and with a hole of 2-mm diameter: No thermal sensitivity was noted with the test item.
The test item was not considered to have explosive properties in the experimental conditions used. The substance being not explosive, it can be expected that the data is also relevant for non-classification according to UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods – Manual of Tests and Criteria (6th revision, 2015), and for non-classification in explosives hazard class according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP).

Description of key information
Explosiveness: non-explosive (EU Method A.14)
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Explosiveness:
- non explosive
Additional information
The explosivity study for the substance was conducted in accordance with EU Test Method A.14 and in compliance with GLP. During the study, six negative results were observed in a mechanical sensitivity study. Similarly, in a thermal sensitivity study using 6 mm and 2 mm diameter nozzles, six negative results were also observed. Therefore, under the conditions of the study, the test substance is considered not to exhibit explosivity hazard. The result is considered to be reliable.
Justification for classification or non-classification
The substance is not explosive under the conditions of an EU Test Method A.14 and as such not classified for explosivity in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
