Description of key information

Based on a weight of evidence approach on data available on each constituents, the multiconstituent substance (Flux1) is considered as not readily biodegradable and not bioaccumulable.

As no biodegradation of two constituents has been observed with OECD tests (MITI Japan studies, 1992) and each constituent is not expected to be biodegradable (QSAR Biowin). As a consequence, Flux1 is considered as not readily biodegradable and should be considered as very persistent following the EU PBT/vPvB criteria.

As BCF values of each constituents are below 13,the multiconstituent substance (Flux1) is considered as not bioaccumulable and does not fulfil B criterion of PBT assessment.

No hydrolysis of the substance is expected as chemical structures are without any groups that can be hydrolysed.

According to REACH Annex VIII column 2, the study does not need to be conducted because the registered substance has a low potential for adsorption because the log of the octanol water partition coefficient (log Kow) of each constituent of the substance are below 3. Nevertheless, adsorption data from literature or QSAR calculations are available for each constituent of Flux1. Based on a weight of evidence approach on data available on each constituents, the multiconstituent substance, Flux1, is considered as mobile (according to McCall et al., 1980).
