Description of key information

Environmental fate and pathways of the registered substance have been assessed through biotic and abiotic degration tests and an adsorption/desorption screening test :

-       Hydrolysis as function of pH (OECD 211)

-       Ready biodegradation study (OECD 301B)

-      Estimation of the Adsortion coefficient (Koc) on soil and on sewage sludge using HPLC (OECD 121)

The three studies were considered reliable and were therefore used as key studies.

Both degradation studies show no significant degradation neither under biotic nor abiotic patterns.

Therefore, in the absence of simulation testing, the substance is considered as potentially persistent and/or very persistent.

Adsorption value of Koc = 510 L/Kg indicates that the substance would have a low mobility in soil and sediment.
