Administrative data

Endpoint:
toxicity to soil microorganisms
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely
Justification for type of information:
There is no need to conduct the study as there is no direct exposure to soil and that the indirect exposure to soil will be very limited. During treatment in the STP, the substance will partly be adsorbed to sewage sludge and can there theoretically be transferred to agricultural soil via sludge application.
However, the substance is considered also to be anaerobically biodegradable so it will be transformed/degraded down to methane, CO2, water through the anaerobically digestion of sludge.
