Data from triphenyl phosphite, which is a constituent of 2-ethylhexyl diphenyl phosphite and a related substance, has been used to address this endpoint. The NOAEL for reproductive and developmental effects from the multigenerational study of TPP is 40 mg/kg bw/day (the top dose). The overal NOAEL from this study was 15 mg/kg bw/day due to systemic effects not related to reproductive or developmental endpoints. In addition, data on phenol, a hydrolysis product of 2 -EHDPP, and triphenyl phosphate, a related substance do not indicate a reproductive or developmental toxicity concern.
