Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The test substance is neither readily nor inherently biodegradable and must therefore be considered as potentially P or vP. The bioaccumulation factor of the test item was estimated to be 178 L/kg (worst case) using the BCFBAF model included in the EPI-Suite Program concluding that the substance has a low potential to bioaccumulate in biota. The value is far below the threshold value of 2000 L/kg. The substance is therefore neither B nor vB. One chronic study with the freshwater algae Desmodesmus subspicatus was performed. In this study no detrimental effects below the water solubility were determined. The NOEC was thus determined to be ≥ 0.018 mg/L (measured value) exceeding the threshold value of 0.01 mg/L. As the substance is not classified according to any criteria relevant for the T criterion the substance is not T. Altogether, the substance is neither PBT nor vPvB.
