- the study does not need to be conducted because the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient and the adsorption potential of this substance is related to this parameter
- Justification for type of information:
- The adsorption/desorption test does not need to be conducted as based on the physico-chemical properties, the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption as the maximum log Kow is 3.95 (experimental study), therefore, the organic carbon-water partitioning coefficient (Koc) is calculated from the log Kow using EUSES (predominantly hydrophobics QSAR). The calculated Log Koc value is 3.3. As further studies on transport and distribution in the environment are not available, this predicted value is used in the assessment.
