Justification:

It can be stated that the substance does not fulfil the PBT criteria (not PBT) and not the vPvB criteria (not vPvB).


 


Persistence:


The substance is not biodegradable. Based on the available data obtained from the ready biodegradation study and additional simulation studies, the test substance is very persistent and should therefore be considered to be 'vP' (and 'P').


 


Bioaccumulation:


The test substance has a log Kow of -4.5, which is clearly <4.5 and therefore is considered to be 'not B/vB'.  


 


Toxicity:


The test substance has acute and chronic aquatic effect values below 0.01 mg/L. Based on the available information, the substance is classified as STOT RE. 1 in accordance with EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation No. (EC) 1272/2008. Therefore, the substance is assessed to be 'T'.
