Additional information

The inhibiting effect of N-benzylethylenediamine on the growth of the green alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was studied according to OECD 201 under GLP (BASF SE, 2019; report no. 60E0503/17X373). The test conditions were static. Test concentrations were analytically verified. As the concentrations were declining over the exposure period of 72 hours, effect values are expressed as geometric mean measured concentrations. All valditity criteria were met. The 72-h ErC50 was determined to be 4.96 mg/L (95% CL: 4.59 -5.32 mg/L; measured). The 72 -h ErC10 was 1.56 mg/L (95% CL: 1.33 -1.75 mg/L). It can be concluded that the substance is acutely toxic to aquatic algae.
