In contact with the flame of the gas burner the test item glowed with an orange/yellow colour and turned into a black residue. A little bit of white smoke was observed. After removal of the ignition source, no propagation of combustion of the test item was observed.

The preliminary screening test was performed for the determination of the flammability of TIPAQUE BLACK SG-101.

Based on the results obtained, the test item is considered 'not flammable.'

In a UN N.1 preliminary screening test, no propagation of the test item along 200 mm length of the pile within 2 minutes was observed. Based on the results, the test item is considered 'not flammable.'

It was not considered scientifically necessary to conduct tests to investigate pyrophoricity or flammability in contact with water, as the substance is known to be stable in contact with air and water.
