- Key result
- Water solubility:
- < 0.085 mg/L
- Conc. based on:
- test mat.
- Temp.:
- 20 °C
- pH:
- >= 6.24 - <= 7.13
- Details on results:
- The water solubility was determined on the basis of the individual values for the equilibration times of 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h. The water solubility at 20 °C was below the limit of dection of 0.085 mg/L.
- Conclusions:
- The water solubility was determined on the basis of the individual values for the equilibration times of 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h. The water solubility at 20 °C was below 0.085 mg/L.
- Executive summary:
The water solubility of the the test item was determined according to Annex to Directive 92/69/EEC, Point A.6 (1992). Therefore, approximately 0.10 g of test item was weighed into an amber ampoule, 10 mL of redistilled water was added, the solution was sonicated for 15 min. in the ultrasonic bath, and the ampoule was subsequently welded tight. Sets of three ampoules each (triplicate determination) were affixed in the shaking water bath (Haake SWB 25) immediately and after 24 and 48 hours, and all sample sets were shaken at 30°C for a further 24 hours. The temperature was then reduced to 20°C and the ampoules were shaken for a further 24 hours to ensure a thorough mixture. The water solubility was determined on the basis of the individual values for the equilibration times of 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h. The water solubility at 20 °C was < 0.085 mg/L.
