Additional information

PNEC values have not been deviated since the substance is not classified for the environment. All acute aquatic toxicitiy studies indicate a toxicity above 1 mg/L, whereas the water solubility is < 0.01 mg/l. Based on the comparision of both values, there is no indication for a hazard and conclusively no indication for an environmental risk.

Conclusion on classification

Acute toxicity

Fish is the most sensitive species with an EC50 of 4 mg/L. Based on the results obtained in the aquatic toxicity studies the test substance is not classified regarding the acute toxicity to the environment according to Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) and Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (GHS/CLP).

Chronic toxicity

As the test item is ready biodegradable and the lowest long-term NOEC (Algae) is over 1 mg/L, the substance is not classified according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP/GHS) and Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD).
