Description of key information

Strontium dichlorophthalate is not readily biodegradable.

Additional information

The biodegradation potential of strontium dichlorophthalate was evaluated in a Manometric respirometry test according to OECD 301 F (Hammesfahr 2019). The test duration was 28 days and the initial test substance concentration was 102.9 mg/L corresponding to an oxygen demand of about 63.0 mg/L (ThODNH4). The results of the test showed that strontium dichlorophthalate does not fulfil the criteria for being readily biodegradabale within 28 days (no degradation was observed).
