Additional information

Fatty acids, C5-10, esters with dipentaerythritol (CAS 70983-72-1) is determined to be not readily biodegradable (29% after 60 d) according to the OECD criteria in one confirmatory GLP-Guideline study. The substance is thus expected to be degradable by microorganisms in both the aquatic and terrestrial environments to a low extent. Further simulation tests investigating the biodegradation in water and sediment or soil according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, column 2, 9.2.1.2 - 9.2.1.4, were not proposed since the substance is likely to persist.
