0.49 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
0.076 mg/L

Additional information

The key study, a test according to OECD Guideline 201 (Freshwater algal growth inhibition test with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata), was performed by BASF SE (2019, report no. 60E0592/17E030). The GLP study was consistent with all validity criteria of the guideline. The nominal concentrations were verified by analytical monitoring during the test. The endpoints were calculated based on the geometric mean concentrations. The ECx values for growth rate were determined to be 0.076 mg/L (EC10; 95% CL: 0.052 - 0.105 mg/L) and 0.49 mg/L (EC50; 95% CL: 0.405 - 0.594 mg/L). Hence, the substance is acutely very toxic to freshwater algae.
