Description of key information

The test material is a clear liquid at room temperature.

Melting point determination was planned using using differential scanning calorimetry of the benzylated polyamine sample. There was no freezing point evident for the sample on cooling. A glass transition (Tg) was evident on heating. The average onset of the Tg is 198.1°K (-75.1°C).

The test material is a clear liquid in the boiling point tube at room temperature. During the course of heating, sample decomposition was observed below 350 C. Decomposition was indicated by a drastic change in the sample color from clear to black. The sample did not boil.

Bulk density of the test material was determined to be 1.018 g/cm3 using hydrostatic balance method.

The vapor pressure of the test material was determined to be 439.9 Pa at 21.1 C.

Partition koefficient N-octanol/water was determined for the test material using flask method according OECD 107 guidance. The determined logKow for individual components of the substance is between 0.01 and 2.02.

Water solubility was determined for the test material using flask method according OECD 105 guidance. The determined solubility for individual components of the substance is between 3 954 and 21 878 mg/l.

The Pensky-Martens closed cup flash point test according ASTM D93 method determined the flash point of the test material to be 160.5 C.

The autoignition temperature was determined  to be 351 C for the test samplem in accordance with ASTM E659
