Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The melting point and melting point should have been determined via DSC (differential
scanning calorimetry).
Three DSC measurements were performed. In all measurements two endothermic peaks
which came directly after each other and one exothermic behaviour were detected.
The test item consists of two function groups (isopropylamino and antraquinone), the two
endothermic peaks could be the melting process of the test item. The melting point will be
given in a range with two peak maxima. The beginning and the end of the process were
evaluated with the event marker.
Based on observations of the pre-tests also the appearance of the test item in the crucible
after DSC measurement the exothermic behaviour should be identified as decomposition.
The beginning of the decomposition was evaluated with the event marker function with
260.53 °C (533.68 K).
Melting point:
The melting point is given in a range from: 152.04 °C to 181.94 °C (425.19 K to 455.09 K)
with
the first peak maximum of 170.31 °C (443.46 K) and
the second peak maximum of 176.77 °C (449.92 K)
These values represent the three independent determinations.
