Endpoint:
biodegradation in water: ready biodegradability
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is inorganic
Justification for type of information:
Zinc cyanide is an inorganic substance. According to the column 2 of the annex VII section 9.2.1.1 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is inorganic. Therefore, this endpoint is waived.

Description of key information

Zinc cyanide is an inorganic substance. According to the column 2 of the annex VII section 9.2.1.1 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is inorganic. Therefore, this endpoint is waived.

For CSA purpose, the substance is considered as not readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed
