Reference
Endpoint:
storage stability and reactivity towards container material
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
supporting study
Study period:
Completed October 1, 1989
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study without detailed documentation
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: EPA 63-17
GLP compliance:
no
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Technical methomyl
X1179-262
Purity not provided
Results:
Content of methomyl in the assay was determined to be (%) 100.2, 100.3 on October 26, 1977; 98.2, 98.7 on February 27, 1980; and 99.6, 99.1, 98.3 on October 17, 1986. Standard deviation (1 sigma) = 0.55
Conclusions:
A single sample of technical methomyl was assayed initially in 1977, then again in 28 months, and after 9 years. Storage was in ambient conditions. Within the limits of experimental error, there was no significant degradation of test substance.
Executive summary:

A single sample of technical methomyl was assayed initially in 1977, then again in 28 months, and after 9 years. Storage was in ambient conditions. Within the limits of experimental error, there was no significant degradation of test substance.

Description of key information

EPA 63-17

Additional information

Ambient storage stability: no significant degradation after 28 months and after 9 years of the initial assay.
