Reference
Endpoint:
flash point of flammable liquids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the flash point is only relevant to liquids and low melting point solids
Justification for type of information:
The melting point of 2-amino-5-chloro-N,3-dimethylbenzamide is 144.3 °C, the boiling point 310.5 °C. By expert judgement a high flash point is expected (> 200 °C) not leading to classification according to EU regulation 1272/2008 (CLP). The result is underlined by self ignition test with no self ignition temperatur up to >400°C. This is in accordance to Annex VII, 7.9 EU regulation 1907/2006..

Description of key information

No flash point was determined (waiving). By expert judgement a high flash point is expected (> 200 °C) not leading to classification according to EU regulation 1272/2008 (CLP) and not required under REACh Annex VII.
