Additional information

The 48 –hr-acute toxicity to Daphnia Magna of a structural analogue, tetrahydromethylphthalic anhydride (MTHPA), was studied under static conditions using methods described in OECD test guideline No. 202. Daphnids were exposed to the substance at nominal concentration of 0, 32, 56, 100, 180, 320 mg/L for 48 hours. Mortality/immobilization and sublethal effects were observed daily. The 48 – hour LC50/EC50 was 130 mg /L. The 48 – hr NOEC based on immobilization was 87 mg/L.
