Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Toxicity to aquatic algae was tested according to OECD guideline 201.

Based on the substance properties, the critical micelles concentration was determined, so as to test concentrations below cmc and avoid physical effects possibly interfering in the evaluation of the substance toxicity. Experimentally, cmc was found to be 140 mg/l, thus significantly above tested concentrations.

Concentrations in the main test were selected based on a preliminary range-finding test. Only the highest test concentration was analytically determinable. Other concentrations were calculated, thus they have lower reliability. The test was run in OECD medium.

Test substance showed significant toxicity; EC50 (72h) was found to be < 1 mg/l. At the highest measured concentration of 0.143 mg/l as geometric mean value of measured concentrations (nominal concentration 1 mg/l), inhibition of growth rate was significantly different from control.
