Irritant / corrosive response data:
At 1h and 24 hour observation period the animal showed bleeding of the eye. At day eight the animal showed ocular discharges and staphyloma.
No effects were seen in the control eye.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
Category 1 (irreversible effects on the eye) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
A single instillation of 50 uL Aminoethylethanolamin resulted in corrosive effects on the eye.
Executive summary:

An in vivo eye irritation test was performed with Aminoethylethanolamin. The animal was observed 1 hour, 24 hours and 8 days after exposure. The animal showed severe cornea opacity, edema and bleeding of the eye troughout the observation period. After 8 days the eye showed ocular discharges and staphyloma.

According to these results it can be concluded that aminehtylamin has corrosive effects on the eye.
