Description of key information

The substance is not sensitive to impact and friction. The limiting diameter for the thermal sensitivity is < 1.0 mm, it has also no explosive power and can not propagate deflagration.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Several studies in compliance with a recognised quality system or by laboratories complying with a relevant recognised standard, such as EN ISO/IEC 17025 were conducted. They resulted that

the substance is not sensitive to impact and friction. The limiting diameter for the thermal sensitivity is < 1.0 mm, it has also no explosive power and can not propagate deflagration. This was supported by a second study where the substance was determined not to be sensitive to impact and friction.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Annex I, Section 2.1 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and UN GHS Rev 6 (2015) the substance has not to be classified as explosive in class 1.
