Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Test guideline
Qualifier:

Principles of method if other than guideline:
Performance of the hydrolysis experiments
Stability of the test subtance in aqueous solutions at pH 4, pH 7, pH 9: 155.3 mg of the test item were dissolved in acetonitrile (= stock solution).
Purest water was adjusted to pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9 using aqueous ammonia and aqueous hydrochloric acid.
1 ml stock solution was filled up with each of the aqueous phases to volumes of 10 ml (resulting in a test item concentration of approx. 0.008 mol / L). Directly after mixing the stock solutions with the aqueous phases the resulting hydrolysis solutions were extracted by shaking with 1 ml dichloromethane.
1 µl of each dichloromethane phase was injected into the GC / MS system.
In additional experiments pH 7 and pH 9 solutions were acidified using pH 4 aqueous hydrochloric acid prior to the extraction with dichloromethane (in order to produce the undissociated form of the carbonic acid).
The stability of the test item in dichloromethane was checked by diluting 1 ml stock solution with dichloromethane ( 1 : 10 v/v). 1 |jJ of this solution was injected into the GC / MS system.
