Administrative data

First-aid measures

General information: Instantly remove any clothing soiled by the product.
- After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of symptoms. In case of unconsciousness bring patient into stable side position for transport.
- After skin contact: Instantly wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
- After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes (10 - 15) under running water. Then consult doctor.
- After swallowing: Call a doctor immediately. Drink copious amounts of water.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: No further relevant information available.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: No specific antidote available. Treat symptomatically and supportively.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media:

- Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, extinguishing powder or water jet. Fight larger fires with water jet or alcohol-resistant foam.
- For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Do not use a heavy water stream.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire.
Hydrogen bromide (HBr) can be released in case of fire.
Advice for firefighters
- Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases. Wear full protective suit.
- Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
- Wear protective clothing.
- Do not inhale dust and avoid contact with substance.
- Keep away from ignition sources
Environmental precautions: Do not allow product to reach sewage system or water bodies.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Collect mechanically. Dispose of contaminated material as waste according to local regulations. Ensure adequate ventilation. Clean the accident area carefully.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Prevent formation of dusts.
Information about protection against explosions and fires: Keep ignition sources away. Protect against electrostatic charges. Dusts can combine with air to form an explosive mixture.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
- Storage: No special requirements to be met by storerooms and containers.
- Information about storage in one common storage facility: Not required.
- Further information about storage conditions: Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed containers.
- Recommended storage temperature: Store at +15 °C - +25 °C (room temperature).
Specific end use(s): Intermediate - No further relevant information available.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters
- Components with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: None
- DNELs (Derived no-effect level) & PNECs (predicted no effect concentration): None established

Exposure controls
- Personal protective equipment incl. General protective and hygienic measures: The usual precautionary measures should be adhered to general rules for handling chemicals. Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and food. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash hands during breaks and at the end of the work. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Do not inhale dust.

- Breathing equipment: Use breathing protection if dusts are formed. Recommended filter device for short term use: Filter P1 for dust

- Protection of hands: Protective gloves (EN 374). The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
- Penetration time of glove material
The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
- Eye protection: Tightly sealed safety glasses

- Body protection: Protective work clothing.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: No further relevant information available.
Chemical stability: Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reactions known
Conditions to avoid: No further relevant information available.
Incompatible materials: Strong oxidizing agents, alkali
Hazardous decomposition products: No dangerous decomposition products known

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods
- Recommendation: After prior treatment product has to be disposed of in an incinerator for hazardous waste under adherence to
the regulations pertaining to the disposal of particularly hazardous waste.
Uncleaned packagings:
- Recommendation: Disposal must be made according to official regulations. Packaging must be disposed of in compliance with country-specific regulations or must be passed to a packaging return system. Empty contaminated packagings thoroughly. They can be recycled after thorough and proper cleaning. Packagings that cannot be cleaned are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product.
